Deciding to propose is a huge step in every relationship and we love hearing about the ring process! This one is near and dear to my heart since it is a family heirloom and I had a hand in actually going to the jeweler and picking out the setting for my sister-in-law!
The middle diamond in Shelby’s ring our great-grandmother, “Mum-Mum’s.” My great-grandparents were married for 73 years, but when our great-grandfather, “Pappy” proposed, he didn’t have money for a diamond. So for their 25th wedding anniversary, he got his bride a diamond ring. At some point, the original diamond was lost and our mom was sent to pick out a new one. The ring was passed down to our grandparents who gave it to our mom to give to my brother Andrew when he was ready to propose.
Andrew sent me to the jeweler to reset the diamond to create Shelby’s one of a kind ring.
Shelby said, “I am so blessed to be able to wear this ring every day to remind me of the commitment I’m making to my future hubby and the family I’m getting to join.”
